Training Course at the Swiss School of Flow Cytometry

Empirica’s Molecular Genetics Department advances expertise in full-spectrum cytometry at Europe’s leading training center

Training Course at the Swiss School of Flow Cytometry - Empirica

In October 2025, an application specialist from our company’s molecular genetics department, together with colleagues from the Lviv Territorial Medical Association “Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital of Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine”, completed a professional training course at the Swiss School of Flow Cytometry (Geneva, Switzerland).

The course was conducted by the school’s scientific team — Blandine Poulot, Cassandra Hogan, and Professor Thomas Matthes, Medical Director of the Diagnostic Flow Cytometry Laboratory at Geneva University Hospital and Director of the Swiss School of Flow Cytometry.

During the training, participants explored the features of full-spectrum flow cytometry using the Cytek Northern Lights-CLC system. Theoretical sessions were complemented by clinical case studies on the application of this technology in hematologic malignancies, offering a deeper understanding of its diagnostic capabilities.

Cytek Northern Lights-CLC is a cutting-edge full-spectrum flow cytometer designed for high-precision multicolor analysis in both clinical and research settings. The instrument combines sensitivity, ease of use, and the ability to simultaneously analyze numerous cellular parameters. Its full-spectrum technology enables the collection of highly detailed data even from complex samples, significantly expanding laboratory diagnostic potential.
